Mission Statement

KBB is a propelling force as a cultural producer and organiser in the Federal Republic of Germany.

With the Berlin International Film Festival, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, and the Berliner Festspiele with the Gropius Bau, we make outstanding cultural projects possible. We lead these Berlin institutions into the future under one roof.

Funded by public and private partners, we bundle and reflect culturally relevant topics and current developments. We work with stakeholders from all over the world, whom we welcome to Berlin.

What we do

KBB creates optimal frameworks for versatile event formats, offers expertise, and promotes synergies.

Our business divisions develop, produce, and present internationally significant projects. We establish themes, create space for experimental approaches in the arts and the examination of cultural heritage.

We live for cultural exchange, invite people to learn with the arts, enable participation, and promote political and aesthetic education.
